Management of Mysql Databases using popular Phpmyadmin PhpMyAdmin Before I was introduced to PhpMyAdmin, I learnt to create tables the "old fashioned" way through a php-mysql_query. It's probably a good thing that I did that initially to learn what phpmyadmin is actually doing and simplifying for me. I presently use Phpmyadmin for the majority of my table creation and management. I still prefer to use linux/php commands for performing db dumps and inserts for speed/reliability issues with webbased control panels. Navicat I have a about 3 months experience working with Navicat. I first started to use Navicat to perform large scale tasks that I could not do with PhpMyAdmin. After learning how to do them via Linux Command line, I stopped using the Navicat software, as the Command Line approach is alot more stable and secure. |
